These are comfy, and the xs did fit me, and I'm normally a size 4 or 26 1/2" waist, but being 5'2", i had a lot of slack at the bottom. These would probably fit perfect on someone who is 5'5". I don't mind the slack, but was hoping it would hit right at the ankle. Also the material is more like cotton, so i can see these fading pretty quickly after the first wash.
