So, as the title indicates, I ordered these pants after careful consideration, deciding that they would be specifically for airline travel because they're made with very limited amounts of metal - just zippers, really, no rivets or buttons or the like - nothing to worry the metal detectors or TSA.Except that I got patted down at the ankles every time I went through airport security. Why? Because the ankle ties at the bottom which allow a quick change from long pants to shorter capris hung down below the cuffs. This makes TSA think something must be tied up to your legs or such, so I did get pulled aside each time for a quick inspection.Other than that little hiccup, I have to say these are very comfortable traveling pants. They fit well and the waistband was of a comfortably sufficient fit so I didn't need to adjust with the drawstrings. There are lots of pockets on these pants, to be sure, but to be perfectly honest, I'd have liked a few more zippered pockets, as opposed to the snap ones. I utilized the zippered pockets for my cell phone (iPhone XR) which *just* fit - this model phone is slightly larger than my old phone, which would have fit perfectly in the pocket. They did zip shut, but it was snug. I also kept my passport and plane tickets in the zippered pocket. The snap-shut leg pockets were for things like hard candies or snacks (gotta have nibbles on the plane, right?) as well as a pen, small notebook, and other geocaching supplies, like pathtags and tracking bugs. The material is lightweight and comfortable. It washes and dries well with regular laundry settings. It packed well in my compression bags inside my suitcase. It also breathes well when wearing them, but when it gets a bit warm, just cinch them up into capris. No sweat.Bottom line: these are really good traveling pants, especially if you find yourself in them for more than one day, as I did during our trip due to the pandemic. Because I was 'trapped' overseas at the time and because I had to be ready to go to the airport at a moment's notice when I was contacted by the airline, I had everything except the bare essentials packed, which meant that I wasn't changing my clothes. I spent three days in these pants, and I have to say, they stood up to the challenge. I'm not saying that they wouldn't be stinky in some circumstances after having been worn that long, but from hotel room to airport to plane to airport to plane to taxi to home over three days, these pants were still comfy and didn't smell. Next time I plan to fly somewhere, I'll be wearing these pants.
