The color is accurate.I have purchased different Amazon Essentials jackets before so the sizing was as expected. The jacket has substantial synthetic insulation to be warm during colder winters. If you are from the NorthEast, this will be fine even in when temperatures are freezing. If you are from warmer climates and not used to the cold, you will probably still need to layer up.The jacket is water resistant only. Spray it with Scoth Guard Outdoor to give it more water repellency.The hood and zippered hand pockets have a light fleece material, presumably to give additional warmth. Unfortunately, the inner side pocket is too small for most cell phones.The jacket has a buttoned flap to give the zipper wind protection. The matching buttons are a cheap plastic so I don't expect it to be durable.The zipper is okay but not heavy duty. If you forgo the zipper, you can still button the jacket closed.There is no adjustment cord to tighten the waist jacket. The hood is a bit large but you can cuff it back.Overall, if you are flexible about the color and can buy the jacket on sale, it's a great buy.Abriga muy bien6I want to like this product more than I do. However, for a puffy jacket, it's really really puffy. Maybe that's other peoples expectations, but coming from a puffy jacket that was...slimmer? I guess is the word I'm looking for, I wanted this to be not so puffy. If that is your expectation though, then this is the jacket for you. It is VERY warm and I like the soft fleece lining. I haven't tested it in the rain though, so I can't say for sure how water resistant it is. The hood also just engulfs your head, with the top part really hanging down in your face, which I'm not a fan of.Me: 5'9", 230 lbs. Bought XXL, black. Fit as expected. Reasonably light in weight, not bulky. Could layer a hoodie under the jacket if desired. Arm length good for my 35" arms. Cuffs on sleeves for warmth. Hood: substantial, fleece lined, but no drawstring to tighten in the wind. No drawstring to tighten at the jacket's base either, which was just below my beltline, though little room for cold air to blow up & in given my 40" waist. Two medium sized lined outside diagonal pockets with easy-to-operate YKK zippers. One inside left lined breast pocket that was vertical in orientation with a 2cm Velcro strip closure - I'd have preferred a horizontal orientation so nothing drops out if the Velcro fails. Front closure also used same size YKK zipper as pockets. A flap with 5 snaps could be closed over the zipper for additional warmth. I like how the front zipper rises 2-3" up the neck like a scarf for additional warmth. Fabric sheds water effectively. Entire jacket is polyester/ polyester fiberfill. Machine wash cold, dark colors, delicate cycle - dry on low setting. NO dry cleaning. I have been pleased with my ability to move freely in the coat. I'm comfortable at 30*F, even when the wind chill is in the low 20's. Have not laundered yet - I'm hoping the fiberfill does not shift where I lose any insulating properties.
